The team's love and dedication to the health and fitness industry, coupled with their genuine interest in women's wellbeing, enables them to help clients achieve real results that can be maintained. Many of our trainers have been with us for many years and are what makes our studio such an intimate, caring and supportive sanctuary,

All of the Body Temple Team are professionally qualified and certified. Most also hold additional certification within the social sciences fields. All possess current first aid certificates.

Originally from Canada albeit with a stopover in Australia (lasting 10 years), Karine arrived in Singapore in 2004 and joined Body Temple shortly after completing her personal training certification with the Fitness Institute of Australia in 2005. Subsequently in 2008 Karine acquired Body Temple from the original founder Suzanne Bocking when Suzanne relocated back to Australia. Karine came to Body Temple with a background in life and business coaching, having already established her own coaching business in Singapore; Karine was therefore already making vast improvements to people’s direction and wellbeing before she decided to further enhance her work by adding a health and fitness focus. As the two are very closely related - fitness and personal wellbeing - and this ensures Karine finds her work incredibly fulfilling. Karine is a fitness enthusiast who enjoys running, cycling, kickboxing, swimming, strength training and yoga. Inside Body Temple she is dedicated to providing you with a personalized service that meets all your fitness and well-being requirements. Outside Body Temple she is a dedicated mother to her 3 wonderful children!

Upon moving to Singapore in 2004, Jimmie began a career in personal training, combining a deeply held passion for fitness, and a wealth of experience, into one pursuit. She loves trekking in the remote mountains of Alaska, California and Nepal. When not on the trail, she can be found in the gym, building strength through weight training. Jimmie is also the co-founder of Equator Adventures, and continues to contribute significantly to the development of the Equator Adventures Training Gallery, a unique adventure training program based on The Fit Bar Self-myofascial Release (SMR) System which she also developed. To Body Temple, Jimmie brings her unique perspective and an original style, utilizing skills in massage therapy, strength training and life coaching, and nurtures and inspires clients to achieve their goals. Jimmie holds a B.Sc. Health Education, and also has completed certifications in massage, Reiki, nutrition and wellness, life coaching, TRX, Les Mills and First Aid/CPR.

Sport has always been Diana's lifeblood, and she nurtures true passion for fitness and wellness. She runs marathons, half marathons, and competes in biathlete and Olympic distance triathlete events. Testing her own limits, Diana has also completed numerous half iron-man and full iron-man races. She is an ASCA and NSCA-CPT (Certified Personal Trainer), and is also certified in yoga, Les Mills group exercise, and deep tissue massages. She has completed her Stott Pilates Matwork course and holds a Taekwondo Black Belt. Diana has recently completed her post graduate certification in clinical rehabilitation. These qualifications are testimony to the all-rounded approach that Diana takes towards making health and fitness a natural part of life.

Having lost an awesome 20 kilos in her teenage years, Aimee has first hand experience of the importance of a great exercise programme and the right meal choices. Today she still has a passion for good food but has learnt the importance of fuelling your body with the right food to give yourself the energy and strength build a lean, strong body – rather than depriving yourself to be skinny and lacking in energy! Aimee is passionate about maintaining a healthy body fat percentage and sharing her experience with her clients to help them learn how to make healthy, balanced food choices. Aimee’s training approach is to hit all body parts in 3-4 strength training sessions every week, as well as mixing it up with fun cardio group classes. Aimee is a FISAF certified trainer, is trained in corrective exercises for muscle imbalances, and is also CPR and AED certified.


Niina Hanttu-Halvorsen - PERSONAL TRAINER

Niina’s true passion has always been in fitness and wellness. Coming originally from snowy Finland, her family members were enthusiastic cross-country skiers. Niina’s own avenue into fitness started in dance studios and stages in her younger years, and then into strength training and group exercise. While expecting her first child, she was introduced to meditation and yoga which has become the sweet treat in her busy life with two little boys. Niina understands what fellow new moms are going through and has a special interest in pre- and post-natal training. She is also passionate about superfoods and healthy meal options that keep the body and soul in balance, as well as the family happy (fussy eaters and lazy chefs included!) Niina also has a background in marketing and business management.

After 15 years as a Telecommunications Engineer with various corporations around the world, and delivering her third child, Marian decided to dedicate her life to her family and to develop her passion for sports.  Her love for endurance sports started at a young age, when she started to swim as a therapy to treat her scoliosis condition. Over the years, she complemented her time in the pool with running, cycling and gym sessions. Marian moved to Singapore in 2006 and has since competed in a number of triathlons, duathlons and aquathlons. She also takes her passion for sports on her holidays where she has become an accomplished trekker having made it to the summit of Mt Blanc, Pisco (Peru), Kinabalu, Rinjani, Langtang Lirung and Annapurna Base Camp (the last two with her three young children). Being a very disciplined person, Marian believes personal objectives can be achieved through consistency and determination and she thoroughly enjoys the feeling of helping her clients achieve their goals.

Since childhood Karina has always been into sports - first swimming, then rhythmic gymnastics, basketball, strength training at the gym and running. Her parents led by example, always teaching her the importance of practicing physical activities and sports to have a healthy life. Since the age of 14 Karina has also worked as a model, which naturally provided an additional incentive to  keep in shape! Karina holds a Bachelor in Physical Education from the State University of Maringá (UEM) and has also completed a number of courses in Pilates and Functional Training, prior to leaving Brazil. Karina is the newest member of the Body Temple team and is thrilled to share her lifelong passion of health and fitness with her clients.

Gail joined the Body Temple team in 2012, having spent 14 years looking after her two children at home. She is an accountant by training and previously worked as a Business Office Manager at Gleneagles Hospital. Gail enjoys working with trainers and clients of all different nationalities. She says, "its the warm and fun environment that makes Body Temple a joy to work at - I actually look forward to going to work!"


Karin Reiter

Karin G. Reiter - NUTRITIONIST

Medical nutritionist, fitness trainer, wife, and mama, Karin has been a leader in the nutrition and wellness industry for the last 10 years. Karin founded Nutritious N’ Delicious in 2011 in Australia (after a corporate career in law and finance) and her aim was to touch as many people as possible and provide knowledge, support, guidance and advise on building a healthier life style. She has led workshops and nutrition programs in Singapore, Hong Kong, Israel and Australia. Karin’s passion is to educate, to ask questions and to bring to light the importance of natural, simple, organic and nourishing foods. Karin is a passionate speaker & journalist in the area of nutrition and has written for numerous publications in Australia, Israel and through-out Asia. Karin is also the author of 2 children's recipe books “The Rosy Cheeked Kids”.
