What Personal Training techniques are used within Body Temple’s training programs ?

Our training programs are designed to help you with every aspect of your life, not solely on just losing weight.

The main aspects that we focus on are:

We also include certain activities into your strength workout that are designed to decrease any risk of injury whilst helping you build your perfect posture.

These Activities include:

‘Rolling’ is used first instead of a traditional 5 min warm up on the treadmill. The roller is used to release trigger points (which are tightness in your muscles) that can inhibit the movement and length of the muscle and therefore increase risk of injury.

‘Stretching’ comes second to lengthen and facilitate inhibited muscles and return them to their normal resting length.

‘Activation’ is used to heighten neuromuscular activity within muscles that have been inhibited or weakened due to inactivity/general weakness.

Exercises:

(a) ‘Core exercises’ are performed at the beginning of the workout to strengthen, activate & stabilize the spine prior to loading the body.

(b) ‘Strength exercises’ will incorporate functional movements and loading the body in natural positions.

‘Finishers’ in the form of metabolic training is performed at the end of the workout to increase your metabolic state, increase endorphin release and huge surge in growth hormones (the key hormone in fat loss).

A ‘cool down’ segment will involve a light stretch and a lovely neck & shoulder massage !
